Obituary of Gerard W. Dravis

Please share a memory of Gerard to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Gerard W. Dravis passed peacefully at Little Brook Nursing on February 1, 2024.  He was 86 years old.

Gerard was born to the late Richard and Genevieve Dravis and was one of six children.  Upon his HS graduation he enlisted with the US Army.  He was a man of commitment and honor from an early age.

Upon his honorable discharge he met Patricia Gawler. They married, settled in Union and started their family.  He was a supportive husband and father working hard at Gaw-Mac Industries for many decades.

When he wasn’t at work, he enjoyed fishing, his hobby of fly tying, and reading.  He soaked up many books.  He was passionate about art and was an exceptional oil painter.  His home and those of his loved ones have his works carefully displayed.  He enjoyed an occasional cigar and a good meal but above all, Gerard loved having his family close by.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Patricia; his son Mark; and his brothers Richard, Walter, Donald and David; he leaves his daughter Jacqueline Dravis; his son Peter Dravis; grandson Zachary Dravis; brother Edmund Dravis and his wife Claire and many more dear relatives and friends.
