Obituary of Elizabeth H Smith

Elizabeth (Betty) H. Smith, 88, of White Township, Belvidere, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2015 at her home with her loving family at her side. Born on September 4, 1926 in Belvidere, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Ramon and Helen Featherman Hildebrant. Betty had lived in the Belvidere area all her life. Betty was the owner and manager of the Bel-Pike Lanes, White Township, which was established in 1965, along with her late husband, Earl "Bud" Smith, who died on January 24, 2007. They had also been owners and operators of the former Dairy Queen. Surviving are four sons, Earl, Charles, Dennis, and Thomas; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service to celebrate the lives of both Betty and Bud will be held 8:00 PM, Thursday, September 3, 2015 at MacFadden Funeral Home, 325 Hardwick Street, Belvidere, NJ. Friends may call one hour prior to service. Private interment will be in Belvidere Cemetery.
